When will the Big Quiz take place?
The quiz will be available from Friday 19 July until Friday 26 July and you can access the quiz and take part at any point during this time.
Who sets the questions?
The questions will be set by OU staff including some of our academics from across the University.
How long will it take?
The quiz will be made up of 5 rounds of 11 questions and take around an hour to complete.
How do I participate?
We would love you to make a donation to this year’s Giving Day by donating online www.bit.ly/ougivingday, the Giving Day will run from 9am on Thursday 4 July until 9pm on Friday 5 July. However, the website will be available from Friday 7 June to make a donation. You will automatically receive a link by email when the quiz goes live on the 19 July.
What is the Big Quiz for?
By donating and joining in the quiz, you’ll be helping to transform lives by raising vital funds for more life-changing scholarships.
Is there a prize?
We will have a leaderboard of the top teams or individuals who complete the quiz.

Of course, thank you for your generosity. You can ignore the email when the quiz comes through or email us at giving@open.ac.uk and we will ensure you don’t receive the quiz when it’s available.
