Double the value of your donation during Big Give week to support disabled veterans at absolutely no extra cost to you!
Join us for this year’s Big Give Challenge! For one week only, from midday on Tuesday 3 December until midday on Tuesday 10 December, The Open University is raising money for the Disabled Veterans’ Scholarship Fund (DVSF) to help transform the lives of more miliary heroes through the power of education. For one week only, thanks to match-funding through the Big Give Challenge, donations to the Disabled Veterans’ Scholarships Fund will be doubled in value at no extra cost to you.
Helping to break down the barriers to education
The Disabled Veterans’ Scholarship Fund was launched in 2018 and, thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of the OU family of donors, 363 scholarships have been awarded to help disabled veterans re-write their futures.
The Disabled Veterans’ Scholarships Fund offers these brave personnel free access to life-changing Open University education, along with careers and disability support. Studying enables these military heroes to retrain for the civilian jobs market, to gain new skills and to take their first steps towards new dreams.
Now, more than ever, the OU family must stand together to keep education open to those who would otherwise miss out.
Scholarships like Dan’s would not be possible if it weren’t for the compassion and support of our incredible Donor community. By reading their stories, you'll be able to see the life-changing impact the Fund has in helping to open up the future for veterans.
Your kindness and support during The Big Give Challenge can ensure that even more veterans have the life-changing to access higher education and build a new future for themselves and their family.
