At 9:00pm on Thursday 3 July, Giving Day 2025 came to a close - and what a result. 

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our OU community, more than 1,500 donors raised a phenomenal £194,487. Every gift supports our mission to widen access to education and proves the power of what we can achieve together. 

This year's Giving Day was a reminder of just how much people believe in The Open University and its life-changing impact.

Thanks to the generosity of our OU family, students facing financial hardship, displacement, and barriers to education will receive the seven words that could change everything for them this autumn:

"You have been selected for a scholarship." 

We're deeply grateful to everyone who donated, shared or cheered us on. Giving Day is more than a fundraiser - it's a celebration of possibility, potential and people.
