Take part in the Graduate Outcomes Survey

The Graduate Outcomes Survey is an important new national survey and aims to gather information about the activities and perspectives of our Alumni after they have finished their studies. The survey is owned by HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency.

How to take part

If you have completed your course after 1st August 2017 you’ll be invited to complete the survey 15 months after graduating. You’ll be contacted either by phone or email by an external survey agency assigned by HESA.

As this is a statutory survey the University is required by law to provide up-to-date contact details for all of our graduates so that HESA can contact you.  To help us, it’s really important that your details are kept up to date. You can do this by logging on to the Alumni Association website.

Why should you take part?

We want to continue to offer the best support to our current and future students as possible, to help them succeed and reach their goals whilst studying and in whatever they subsequently pursue.

Your participation in the survey is really important to us as your responses will:

  • Allow our current and future students make informed choices by gaining an insight into their potential careers.
  • Enable our Careers and Employability Services to support our graduates in the best way possible and provide up to date guidance and careers advice - Remember, as a recent graduate, you can access this service here.
  • Help us to evaluate and promote our courses to future students.

The results of the survey will be made available in an anonymised format, to parties who have an interest in the destinations of our Alumni. These include current and prospective students of the University who wish to find out about what occupations courses lead to and employers of graduates who wish to target their recruitment activities on specific courses.
