Across 7 and 8 July, the Development Office held its annual Giving Day, an amazing 36-hour event to raise money for the Open Futures Fund. We’re delighted to announce that together we raised more than £214,000 – an even bigger total than last year – and this is all thanks to the generosity of over 1,450 of our OU family who made donations.

We’d also like to thank the team of 20 Futuremakers who so kindly donated their time and efforts to the Staff Challenge, walking over 1,000 miles to unlock an amazing £20,000 donation towards our Giving Day appeal.

The Open Futures Fund provides life-changing scholarships and bursaries to carers, disabled veterans, Black students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those seeking refuge. Every pound raised on the Giving Day will help to transform lives and rewrite futures.

The Development Office is very grateful to everyone involved in making the Giving Day possible – we’re already excited to start planning for next year.
