On 6 and 7 July, we held our first-ever Open University Giving Day – a 36-hour challenge to raise money for our Open Futures Fund. We were overwhelmed by the support of our OU family, including alumni, staff, students, and friends who took part in various challenges and organised fun activities to help raise money for the cause.
We continue to see donations come in and we are absolutely delighted to let you know that as part of the Giving Day appeal over 1,350 of you, our incredible OU family, came together to raise a magnificent £151,000! Thank you for making the Giving Day such a success and for helping transform the lives of so many. Your generosity means that even more current and future students have the chance to rewrite their futures and transform their lives. Thanks to you, more scholarships and bursaries can be awarded to disadvantaged students, helping them fulfil their potential without the financial burden studying can bring.
Now, even more Disabled Veterans and military heroes like Daniel can rebuild their lives for a brighter future. Your support will also help carers fulfil their lifelong dreams, having spent much of their time caring for others.
To all our donors so far, thank you. We really couldn’t have done this without you. If you haven’t donated yet and would like to play a part in transforming lives through education, it’s not too late! Help us rewrite more futures by donating on our OU Giving Day page.
Thank you from everyone at the OU – we hope you’ll join us again next year!
